...but while we were away playing by the beach, Astro and his 100!!! buddies were evacuated as a catastrophic fire blazed to the boundaries of the kennels.

Water bombers clattered overhead sucking up water from the property's pond as the fire sparked closer and closer.
Not a pooch, cat or bird was lost but can you imagine the scene?
Moving 100 people would be like 'herding cats'.
Moving all those dogs and yes cats to suitable accommodation must have been like a military operation.
