Monday: La Boheme

It was a beautifully sunny day today so we went down to Britanski Square to sit and have coffee in the sun (every Croatian's favourite occupation!).  Dank also happened to be there for at the same time, so he came and joined us.

This evening we were most cultured and went to the opera, where we had a box, to see 'La Boheme'.  Vicki and Morana also joined us.  We met in 'Hemingway's beforehand for a cheeky little gin and tonic before heading over to the National Theatre.  It was a wonderful performance - we loved it! It was quite a modern interpretation but was very well done.

I do love all the unintentionally funny moment in opera - for example, when everyone is so busy singing around her, that no-one notices that Mimi has died.........we also think she was a bit of an emotional blackmailer.
