chasing the sunshine.
As Mrs.K. had cooked for the multitudes for five days, it was high time she went out for lunch.
She asked to go to Grasmere. Apparently since the great storm closed the main road from there to Keswick visitor numbers have fallen.
Of course on the way we had to stop in Ambleside for coffee and look that very expensive outdoor clothing shop has a sale with 40% off. ( of course I knew that when we set off). So that was a rather costly coffee.
On to Grasmere for a walk and some lunch. As the picture shows there was a splash of sunshine on the distant hills. When will we get a Satnav in which you can type in sunshine and it will take you there.
Then on the way back to the car park we came, as I knew we would, to the shop which has the largest number of jigsaws in the world. 20,000 at the last count. The biggest have 32,000 pieces. So a round Harry Potter one was acquired.
Home for coffee, a piece of Christmas cake and some Mozart.
A very nice day. Now to await Storm Frank.
