Winter sunset

At about 3.45pm the sun was setting and the sky was mauve and turquoise as seen through the trees. I rushed outside to take a photo before the darkness descended. Unfortunately my efforts were disappointing and the subtle colours can scarcely be seen.

It's been another mild day but the sun has been shining and it was good to see the blue sky again.
