Cheating
My father in law could be described as a character. Yesterday there was an utter palaver in getting fire extinguishers for vehicles serviced as a new law has come in to place requiring these to both be carried and have an in-date service. The fine for not having this is $100 - there are no nice warnings with the Zim police, they go straight to the fine. So my mother in law paid the required $10 each for her extinguishers to be serviced.
This did not include the extinguisher for the lorry - which is only driven by my father in law, he was left to sort that one out for himself. Which he has, by certifying it serviced, himself, as he has done for the past number of years. My father in law is a fully paid up member when it comes to getting around the law.
Aside from discovering my father in laws cheating ways when it comes to fire extinguishers, we have had a very quiet day. Thank you letters have been written (this has been drilled into me by my mother that it must happen before New Year) and the boy has been practising his crawling. He is getting faster and more curious, currently, doors are most intriguing as are saucepan lids.
