Evening in Seville

A day of ups and downs, starting with me leaving my iPhone at home with all the 'back to basics' that implies! However, I had a very smooth and scenically breathtaking 5.5 hour trip to Seville on the AVE high speed train, borrowing a kind man's mobile to inform DD of my faux pas, and my intention to buy a cheapo pre-paid mobile in Seville, which I duly did.

I was straight onto business calls to Brazil whem I arrived, before being able to go out on the streets of Seville (a heady 36C combination of heat and dryness...Cairo double plus!).

You won't be surprised to hear I have a long connection with this place (which I may indulge myself/bore you with tomorrow!) and enjoyed being back. The light was tricky late in the day but I liked this one....the driver was shouting to a fellow carriage owner that he needed to work long hours to pay the electricity and gas bills. I listened in, hunkered down in the foreground shadow.
