Past view

Mr B had an exam this morning, so we all hid downstairs to give him some peace. Later, we celebrated his success with soup, and a change of plan to drive rather than train it to London.

My youngest nephew, who speaks straight from the hip without the intervention of politeness or convention, asked why we only ever stay for one night. I think he enjoys the company of his 'other cousins'. There's a thing to put right next year - either here or there.

With a lot of help from the lovely and traffic-smart Google Lady, (for whom we can thank the route via Jodrell Bank rather than the usual route via the airport) and Majestic Wines, we are here, full of wine and good food and set up well for the London phase of this multi-site holiday.
