New Boots

We had to pop into Exeter to get the car MOT'd - what a nightmare! I think everyone was out shopping before the grotty weather. It took an age to get in as the traffic was stacked back for ages.

Then everywhere was heaving with people. We managed to squeeze into Gourmandine to while away a bit of time over lunch - there were huge queues outside almost every eaterie! Leo enjoyed a La Splendid crepe which had crushed cookies and chocolate sauce. Ian had a Mon Amour which was a crepe with strawberries, chocolate and cream. I had no room for pud so felt kind of virtuous.

Then we got to the most exciting part of the day for Leo - spending his pocket money in new football boots. He chose some Astros and some studs so is all kitted out for the matches in the New Year. Let's hope the boots are lucky and the Cobras start the New Year with a winning streak.
