to be Surprised by One's Shadow
This is the view looking northward across Kerroogarroo civil war fort in the north of the Island.
It enjoys a commanding position and as such catches every wind that blows.
Just for once it was not blowing a full Irish Sea gale today and. as you can see, the sun was shining.
I find this fort to be difficult to photograph. It is difficult to get any idea of scale. The best results are obtained in an aerial photograph.
