Mostly White
12.6C with some showers in the morning then mostly dry. Dull and very cloudy. Wind to 29 mph with gusts to 44 mph. The wind was not much stronger overnight and rainfall was minimal. It appears that we were lucky and that storm Frank only dealt us a glancing blow.
I had to wait in for a post Christmas delivery today. The last order I placed before Christmas didn't arrive. A long story, but the replacement order duly arrived today by courier and at no cost to us.
As soon as the parcel arrived Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk. Enya on the Nano (The Celts). We went down the road to the shore and the over the road bridge over the railway to have a look at the sea at Westhaven beach. There was very little water running off the field and onto the road to the shore. It was very blustery at the beach. High tide was not until about 5pm but the sea was high up the beach already and the water mostly white as it was driven in across the rocks by both tide and wind.
We stayed just long enough to watch a couple of dog walkers struggle along the sand to the car park, their dog chasing along behind them quite happily. Then I took the lens cap off the camera long enough to grab three quick shots out to sea and another three along the length of the beach. Lens cap back on and we were off back over the road bridge then we carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.

Note: The series of three shots of the weather at the beach was unintentional, but it might return since I have run out of ideas for new photos on the daily walks !
