The Norman Arch
I took this photo thinking it was one of the original seven gates to the walled city of Canterbury, that I had just been reading about on a plaque . I had obviously not been paying sufficient attention because i) it is much too close to the impressive West Gate that I had just walked past and ii) I have now read on the internet - there is a Norman archway in the park, but experts believe it was probably moved there from St Augustine’s Abbey in Victorian times......
PS no sign of Frank in East Kent, I had a lovely day in the sun
PPS...and check out the latest news on the Blip Central page. It includes information about the special New Year blip..... although I may have trouble remembering to do it myself.
