Party time

We had an unexpected guest for our New Year's Eve party this evening...

Today was VERY hot, so our best-laid plans to explore Melbourne were thwarted. Not least by our complete inability to find a single thing we were searching for.

After a couple of draining hours wandering around, we eventually jumped into a taxi and demanded the driver take us to a shopping centre. Ah, air conditioning and Uggs. What more could Mme Tepeka hope for?

Now we're killing time (with wine, cheese and robots) until Melbourne's New Year's Eve fireworks... Apparently, half a million people will be in the city centre for the show, and we should have been out claiming a spot hours ago to get the best views. Frankly, with 38C temperatures, we'll take our chances later on...
