New Year's Eve Walk

It has been a lovely sunny day and we went for a local walk across the muddy fields, saying hello to the cows and horses we met,
I took this shot looking over to the London City skyline. If you zoom in you will see the City tower blocks, including Canary Wharf, and over to the left of the picture, The Shard. When we first moved here, eighteen years ago, the only building seen was Canary Wharf Tower, but since then countless other office blocks have been constructed, some worthy of architectural merit, otherwise perhaps not. All in the name of progress, I guess.

Back home after our walk, we sat down to  an espresso and piece of panetonne , and relaxed once again, enjoying the holiday period.
Tonight we shall be celebrating the New Year (le reveillon), just us two, with a glass or two of Castellane champagne, watching the fireworks of London on the TV, relaxing and enjoying life.
