Hogmanay

I can hardly believe it is the last day of the year and tomorrow we begin 2016.  Tonight hubby and I are working in the hospital and so I have packed a wee bag of first footing items to bring in to the house in the morning.  Hubby will be first to cross the threshold as he is fairly tall and was dark haired in his younger days!!  As you can see from the blip the items include whisky(!), some kindling and money.  I think tradition suggests, black bun, shortbread, silver and coal are required too but maybe a slice of Christmas cake will suffice!
