Waiting ..

I rang mum's GP today, on the advice of the pharmacist. I feel a bit of a fool. I have been taking her temperature every day, assuming if it was fine then she hadn't got an infection and it was just her cold dragging on.

This apparently isn't the case at all - and poor old mum has indeed got a chest infection - sorry, mum.

While waiting for the GP I had plenty of time to sort out how my new mount cutter works (I have lots of lovely works of art in envelopes - but when I had something framed and mounted for my sister last Christmas I couldn't believe how expensive it was and decided I'd have to do it myself - and that's one of my new year's resolutions)

I bought these two sets of tin badges years ago, and they seemed like a good thing to practise on as they aren't terribly important - I think they look rather good (the photo however is dreadful :\ )

My extra is a bird's nest I knitted last night. A friend has a wildlife orphanage and needs 'nests' for the baby birds when they start arriving in the spring. The tension needs to be really tight so they babies don't catch claws or toes in the stitches. My poor finger ends!
