Selfie
The Disney Christmas tree, made from hundreds of Disney soft toys, was attracting a lot of attention in the centre of St Pancras station this afternoon. Many millions of pixels have been used today (and, no doubt, over the whole Christmas period) to record the tree, many of them "selfies".
I went to London to see a couple of photographic exhibitions at the Media Space in the Science Museum. The first was of photographs by Alec Soth, an American documentary photographer who travels across the states taking photographs on different themes; the other was of photographs by Julia Margaret Cameron, an important early photographer (born 200 years ago this year), showing portraits of family and influential friends. Both were very enjoyable.
I then met up with the family and we went for a meal in Covent Garden. We did not stay on for the midnight celebrations, but came home to the warm. I shall watch the fireworks on the television, and then get straight to bed. (I must be getting old.)
Fellow blippers, don't forget the celebration blip tomorrow in support of BlipFuture (see here) - although I have no idea yet what I shall produce.
