Stormy New Year's Day

How's this for a New Year's Day scene! What a stormy night - gale force winds - the gusts sounded like a steam train approaching from over the sea! Our tent was shaking like mad and it was really really hard getting off to sleep. Everyone was happy this morning though, with those in the caravan a little easier about the gusts. With even higher winds forecast, we've been out this morning adding more guyropes to the tent.

The image is out of my Olympus Tough camera - the setting is 'dramatic' but I had to tone it down! It captured the 'feel' of the scene very well indeed.
