Mini-crabs

Extraordinary tree on our walk this morning. We thought at first there was a rose growing from inside a dead tree, but then realised that the fruit were tiny crab apples, not rose-hips, and that they were growing over the whole tree!

The walk followed a New Year's Day community breakfast, just a little way from home, but in another country! And we got back just as the rain started - perfect timing.
