The Future . . .
Happy New Year and here's to the future - and the future of blip. Hopefully everyone has seen and read this by now, but time is running out.
My first blip was in 2007 and although I have missed lots of days, whole months when times were tricky, it has been a big part of my life since then and I would hate it to close. Blip for me is a reason to get out in the fresh air, with Ollie, with my camera and actually look at things. And I am saving my life a day at a time, by using it as a diary. I can look back and see my past, read what I was doing and remember the feelings of the day.
Through blip I have got to know folk from all over the world, seen aspects of their culture that I would never have otherwise known about. The diversity of people on blip is huge, and amazing friendships have been made. So many happy times and sad times have been shared, together with celebrations and commiserations. The camaraderie and support of the blip community is incredible.
The fact that you can be as private or open as you feel comfortable with is important too, and nobody will know who you are unless you tell them! It is a warm and friendly community which feels safe and protective and has a strong sense of togetherness. Let's try and keep it going!
