Poppy

This wasn't there this morning and, if the promised rain and wind arrives later, it won't be there tomorrow but this beautiful pink poppy has brightened up an ordinary grass verge for a few hours. The amazing thing is that it is no more than 6 feet away from a busy A road running from London to the South coast with vehicles thundering by all day. I wonder how many other people enjoyed it's splendour today? I certainly did.
