First post of another new year...

Today we have been asked to post an image with the word blip in it (sorry, can't control the thumbnail on my laptop) and, at this time when the future of the site is still so uncertain, try and express what the site means to each of us.
 When I first started blipping in 2012, I thought it was only about the photography.  Well of course that is a very important part: I've certainly learned a lot and hopefully improved, I continue to love looking at others' photos and marvel at the outstanding quality that some blippers regularly produce.
It didn't take me long though, to begin to realise what a special community this is and gradually  the words became important too. Not just the recording of my own life but the sharing of others too. The support that folk give each other here is incredible and possibly unique.
.So I have pledged a sum of money in the hope that we can keep Blipfoto going.  I love this site and do hope that anyone who is able,  will pledge too.
