Top Dog
The sun was shining, Normous' bridge was cancelled so we set off for "a nice day out". We went to Ightham Mote, a medieval moated manor house near Sevenoaks in Kent. Since we last visited about 45 years ago it has been completely and sensitively restored by a millionaire American owner who left it to The National Trust on his death. It is very atmospheric with lots of rooms to explore. It was a good day out, with (another) pub lunch and a visit to a farm shop on the way home.
The dog kennel is the only Grade I listed dog kennel in the country!
