Picnic in the rain

Today has been wet since I first got up. Brief periods without actual rain, but any time outside of more than a minute or two resulted in some wetting. But we have had nothing like the storms which have hit further north.

I put some seed out for the birds. Mostly this attracts sparrows and I was tempted by a photo of this greenfinch amongst up to a dozen sparrows. However, I have chosen this as the greenfinch had returned after the sparrows had been chased off by a tui. Why a tui felt it wanted to chase away sparrows from a table of seeds, I have no idea.

I have been heartened by the number of positive posts for blipfuture which I have seen this afternoon. We can but do our collective best.
