camera upgrade

Spent over an hour on a firmware upgrade for my camera today.  It shouldn’t have taken that long, but a combination of operator error and “can you come and look at this a minute” - which I duly did, meant it took longer than it should.

This, by the way, is not the camera in question.  This is a (desperate) test subject because the upgrade reset all my camera settings.  

Customising your camera is all well and good as long as you can remember how you set it up in the first place.  Some people write this stuff down.  Others devise very elaborate spreadsheets.  You’ll gather I did neither.
