Happy Birthday Richard

This is Nicola's husband Richard, whose birthday it is today. They called in after wifey had taken him for a quick lunch at the Works in town. They are off out tonight for a Chinese meal - alright for some !

Have been de-Christmasing today - everything is packed away except for the outdoor lights which will have to wait until it stops raining...which may not be for some time.

We had such a shock on New Years Eve. R & N were going out with A & C who they meet every New Year's eve for dinner & celebrations. This year however N had a call from C who said they wouldn't be able to make it as A had had a sudden heart attack. Unfortunately an hour later N got another call from C to say that A had passed away. It was such a shock that someone so young (42) should be taken.....

So RIP AK - I didn't know you well but I do know that you were a smashing bloke and you were married to a smashing girl.  How she will cope I just don't know but she does have a fantastic circle of friends who are rallying around to help and comfort her.
