Chirk Aqueduct and Viaduct

It's been a grey drizzly day but I fancied a walk so went to Chirk which is close to where I live.

This is Telford's aqueduct and the viaduct next to it that cross the River Ceiriog. I walked along the aqueduct along the canal, back underneath (through a quagmire) and circled back to the start.

It was so quiet, I only saw about six people on the walk -  a bit different to the summertime when there are canal boats and walkers around.
