That's what this City is all about...

Ventured out to get lots done this morning... I managed to find a collapsible crate! Right here in Sunny Dubai! In Matalan of all places. Went to collect it and ended up looking at other things - as you do...

Went over to Dubai Mall to look for more specific things, and whilst there, had a look at The Address Downtown Hotel (my extra). It is just too sad-a-sight to see. This building has proudly stood as the second tallest in the vicinity (just 200m from opposite Burj Khalifa) for the past 7 years. We're all waiting to learn what caused the fire.

And we've had the first Puranmal samosas of the year! They are simply delicious! Can't recommend them enough. Poor G has to go back to school tomorrow. She is not looking forward to it! I have an extra day off on account of New Year's Day falling on a Friday (our normal day off).

PS. Thank you so much for stars (and hearts) for yesterday's blip. I've loved looking at the different expressions of the theme.
