Arrived late last night (no time, alas, to drop in on Thaisa and our grandchildren on our way), after taking forever to collect our hire car. Memo to self and a ny others who might be interested - never hire a car through Advantage to drive in the UK. Their super special offer is far from that, as it doesn't include CDW. We'd do better to buy a car next time!

In spite of the late hour, sis-in-law had drinks and a fish pie waiting - and her fish pies are specially delicious. So are all the gluten-free puds, Brownies, cakes and other goodies she conjures up for HH, allowing the rest of us to get in on the act. Now we're looking forward to our comfortable beds.
