New recipe for the new year
My hubby found a recipe for elk meat and potato pierogi in one of his hunting magazines and of course wanted me to make it. So I did all the preliminary- the potatoes mashed, the elk meat slowed cooked in the crockpot and the dough mixed and chilled. But when it came time to roll that dough and fill, he was in charge of rolling and I did the filling. We made about 25 which was plenty.
Today we were at my son's home for a new year get together and the pierogis were cooked in butter and onions until the were brown and crispy. Not a one was left! They wanted to know when I was making them again!
It might be 2017!
