Hydrangeas paradise

These flowers have been a favourite of mine for years. Everywhere I lived in the past hasn't had the right environment, I was always told their too difficult to bloom.
But like everything else up here on the mountains, it's growing like a weed. A Gardeners paradise...
PS: My other photo was of a pair of king parrots eating in the backyard. Unfortunately my equipment didn't do them justice, despite being so up close and personal.
It will remain the fishing story of the one that got away. Any advice on camera upgrade would be appreciated. (Without an over kill in budget)
