Rainforest

I went for a short walk in the local nature reserve in Adel  today ,having decided not to do a 9 mile walk in the dales because I did not want to be out in the incessant rain for several hours . The good thing about this place is that you can shelter in the bird hides for a bit , I only saw a  goosander and some ducks !! everything else was sheltering form the rain I guess. There are several swampy areas in the woods but I managed to keep my feet dry , the rest of me got soaked as I set off in light rain and ended up in very heavy  rain ( again !) . I wish it would snow . I was using a coolpix camera and I accidentally discovered that it does have exposure compensation ....perhaps I should read the leaflet !
