Despite the wet forecast I decided to join the group that were walking to raise money for refugees. Three of my friends are heading out to Lesbos today to help with those arriving on boats, through various fund raising activities they have raised 17,000 euros which they will take with them and give the money where it is most needed. 
There was a reasonable turnout and we were walking for more than four hours, it rained heavily for most of that time and my outdoor clothes are not very waterproof any longer! Glad to home, showered and sat with a cuppa by the fire.
