Sunday: Garden Chairs

The snowfall continued through the night and has made for a lovely white blanket.  Unfortunately, it also affected flights, to the extent that K.'s brother, John, is still at Munich airport, when he should have been home hours ago.  His flight was late living Zagreb, which meant that he missed his connection to Manchester.  At the moment, it's looking doubtful whether he will get home tonight.

Having dropped him off at the airport this morning, we have had a quiet day.  For the last 24 hours I have been nursing an uncomfortable headache that just won't shift.  I have taken an increasing range of painkillers and am now feeling comfortable and buzzy, but not cured.  I suspect a good night's sleep might do the trick (although it didn't last night).

I am back at work tomorrow and normal life resumes.  It's been great having these ten days off but it's probably no bad thing to get back to some routine.

We watched 'The Hunt' tonight, a superb Danish film about the power of lies, suspicion and mistrust.  It is such a compelling film and you can really feel the escalation in tension - I'd really recommend it.
