High tide benefits

The benefit of having stormy, high tides is the amount of seaweed that is washed up. These people were gathering the seaweed in large buckets probably to put on their gardens. A great 'source of fertilizer, mulch an organic pest control'. Some more interesting info here if you are interested

Last trip to the Point by car for a while.So many birds around again including lots of little auks, guillemots and adult and juvenile gannets, one of my favourite sea birds. Much colder than yesterday with a strong breeze. Great waves further out to sea.
Rest of the day was covered in heavy cloud and it looks like it will be like that for the next few days.
Had breakfast in Dobbies after dropping David at work.
