Winter has arrived!

After a very warm fall and a green Christmas, Winter has arrived. The snow started the night of December 27, was at it's heaviest on the 29th, and is still falling today, January 3rd. The streets are a mess with snow heaped anywhere a car isn't parked and those that are parked have to plan extra time to get where they are going because they have to dig out. The pile in front of our house is about six feet high and growing every time the plow goes by. 

Although there has been a lot of snow, it hasn't been very cold. However, the weather forecast predicts the snow will stop, the skies will clear and the temperature will drop tonight to nearly -20c. Tomorrow night it is expected to be even colder. Winter has arrived!

Kevin and I visited a Labrador Retriever breeder this morning. What a fantastic breed. We may have a new puppy this spring... :)
