Mm102:Beginnings

The faint (yellow) zig zags on the pavement point towards a new beginning for this old street. Over Christmas, it had been adorned with trees, boxes of flowers, and seats artfully positioned on generous patches of fake grass. Sounds tacky, but wasn't. The only problem was the constant presence of traffic rumbling along the road.
I spoke to a lady from the council, just after I took this photo, who was polling the reaction to the temporary change in the street scape . Looks good, just pedestrianise it, was my response.
