Times Gone By

In clearing out my Grandmother's house a few weeks back we came across my Grandfather, and Great Grandfather's medals from the war.

What a point in history that must have been. Everyone was affected by it. Had brothers, friends, husband's serving at home or abroad.

This combined with the funeral of a friend and colleague from work today has made for a rather downcast day. To be fair the weather has been great, and it is almost as if Steve (my former work colleague) lit the sky up for us all with his personality, just as he did the office and tea room.
