Railway arches 96

Today I was supposed to be leading another New Year Plant Hunt, but the weather had other ideas and it was cancelled at the last minute. 

Pete and I had already arranged to visit his Mum in Spalding, and spent a short time recording plants along this disused stretch of railway that used to run between Spalding and March. At one point this is crossed by a tiny fragment of the railway that used to run between Spalding and Holbeach -  pretty much all that remains is two sets of derelict arches, adorned by various graffiti. 

The relentless heavy rain made recording rather unpleasant so we rapidly retreated to Pete's Mum's house for coffee and cake.
