Still didn't get much further today as the rain kept coming and going. Sycamore Grove is the parallel street to mine on the other side. The Royal Oak used to be a very fine, if slightly quirky pub before it underwent a series of disastrous management changes. I've been told that it is has improved again in recent times but having long since given up drinking I'm in no real hurry to find out if this is true.
