New Year, new hat - step 1

I had a bit of a tidy up yesterday, and as I examined this hat form I bought in Switzerland it occurred tome how I could use it for a fabric covered hat, as opposed travels one... So a bit of an experiment.

The 'dint' in the top I've made by impressing some cord wrapped in calico and pinning to the base...

We will have to see if it works!
