Ol' Man River

After 17 years of continual rain, the river Taff is very swollen. 
On Radio 4 this morning there was a programme about how the transatlantic telephone cable had been used for Paul Robeson to sing to audiences in the UK. Even with that distortion and an old recording, his voice still sounded amazing. Anyway, I was thinking of his rendition of this song as I walked along the banks today.
