I have to admit it's getting wetter...

Six days now of regular rain.  Even the newts are sick of it.

We have a farm pond next door and the level just keeps rising.  Fortunately it is drained by many field drains and though they're a bit slower because of the sodden ground they always work.  Should they back up I have a storm/field drain which goes into a 10 feet x 10 feet deep dolomite filled soak away.  When we built the house I recall arguing with the architect about the need for such extravagance as it's on the side of a hill.  Now, 21 years later I have to admit he might have been right!  I can l cope with a 21 year event!

We are forecasted to have rain until Thursday.
