The drugs won't work

I was taking a passenger and her daughter home from the hospital this afternoon.
She got a phone call from her eldest daughter telling her that somebody had been knocked over by a car in their street.
The said street is a quiet, dead end street.
A very unlikely place for a RTA.
Somebody reversing out of a parking bay?
Unfortunate child stepping off the pavement?
How about a well known drug dealer who's leg is apparently 'hanging off' according to her 19 year child, who was being questioned as a witness by the police.

Surely not anything as dramatic as the scenario that entered our minds?

Well, on arrival there were more than five police cars that we could see, some blocking off the cul-de-sac, and more in the street out of direct view.

So maybe that scenario was correct.
Angry resident? Disgruntled customer?

We may never know.
