The rain continues

It rained overnight and was raining when I drove to Haltwhistle for the committee meeting this morning. It seemed brighter for a while, but was pouring again as I drove home. The Military Road had a lot of surface water, but at Chollerford the roundabout was seriously flooded. I crept through and home.

We had to take the decision to cancel Mum's outpatient appointment in Stanley this afternoon. It was too dangerous to go. We heard later that the A68 - our route - was closed.

I've worked on the programme this afternoon and then resorted to another early beauty I picked yesterday.

The programme is doing well thanks to the rain, but I do wish it would stop. Enough is enough!
