Bully!
It was my first day back at work this morning after nearly a 3 week break. I shuddered as the alarm went off and wished to stay in bed. It was cold, dark and wet as I trudged to work at 7:40am. I popped out on errands at lunchtime but most of the day was spent at my desk. Compared to our old light and airy glass box, as well as space, our new office lacks daylight, it lacks any perceivable weather and it lacks a sense of freedom. I left work and it was cold, dark and wet. A right driech day all round as the extra photo (and my second choice for a blip) shows.
By the time I reached the corner of my street I glanced at my fitbit. After a couple of sedentary weeks (okay, let's be honest, since the damage to my lungs, a couple of sedentary months) I was determined to get back to eating well and hitting my daily step target. So with just over 8,000 on the clock, a detour around the park was in order. The Boy was already away to work so I was in no rush, I had my winter boots on and my snow jacket done right up, between mid calf and mid thigh was already numb from the icy rain so there was nothing to lose. I didn't quite hit my target but walking around the flat slowly creeped the numbers up and a few paces of the study hit me just one over for this shot!
I titled this "Bully" because between the fitbit and "my fitness pal" I often feel bullied in to doing that little bit extra exercise or having one less biscuit in an effort to be as good to myself as I can be.
(I don't know why blip has insisted on rotating my extra photo, here's one you don't have to twist your neck to see)
