REJOICE GREATLY!

The city has had 30mm rain in the last 24 hours as a monsoon trough swept across the State.  Even better much of the Outback which has had 3+ years of drought, is brimming with water. Pictures of kids who had never seen rain wallowing joyfully in the mud, are in the media. This will restore a bit of hope for their future. 
Locally the creek that wanders through the College has a burbling  trickle. The eucalypts lose their bark at this time, rather untidily, but emerge with bright white or orange limbs, as in today's extra.
