Rocket Man
Marie said let's go to Queenstown and Wanaka at 9.30 this morning. Packed a bag each rang my sister in Luggate to see if she was home, chucked the sleeping bags in the car and 3 hours later we were at my sister's place, stopped long enough to say hello all her family were away so we could not do some portraits for her, then off to Wanaka. We took one look at the Lake it was rough as guts and the wind blowing so off we went, off like a robbers dog to Arrowtown. While driving over the Crown Range we stopped at the viewing area at the Summit, contractors had left a big pile of Chip Gravel in the middle of the Car Park and Tourists were getting stuck. I drove two tourists vehicles out of the loose metal and got a big thank you hug from a Norwegian lady, must have been because they had a Nikon Camera like mine hahaha. It was a trap for the unsuspecting. We had a lovely lunch in Arrowtown a bit of a wander and off home again. We were keen to overnight somewhere but rather than pay upto or more than $120 for one night we opted to go home. We got home just after 9pm. A great Day apart from some slow drivers and challenging drivers. This is a Rocket Car at the Wanaka Aviation and Transport Museum it looks like a prop from a Mad Max Movie.
