Beauty is all around us.

Today means different things to different people. I see it as best I may, through a Christian perspective, whilst not being aware, of how others may view the significance.
Inspite of all the crises all around, including nearby flooding in parts of Ribble Valley not long ago, the great joy we should not fail to see, from our remembrance of the three wise ones, journeying to visit the new born baby Jesus, with the symbolic presents, is somehow consoling.
The realisation of The Holy Spirit amongst us  in this time, if we invite and welcome in the same Spirit to guide us, would not immediately dry up the ruined homes and shops, but it might draw our attention to a merciful Saviour, Christ Jesus, who for many years, was calling us to turn from sin and join Him in wiser, prayerful, holistic choices, peace making, for community cohesion, healthy eating, and treasuring Planet Earth. He was not clear about specifically what He ate but I wait to learn that. He gave his life to reconcile the sorry state of the world, with his Heavenly Father, so the bible tells. To some, this is only a story.
So  to the die hard non believer, this may sound like sentimental tosh.
If you, like me, rejoice in the Lord, I hope you are aware of the Omnipresent guidance God freely pours over us, and each day is then a gift to bring glory to the One who sent Jesus. It is all about giving and receiving love.
