Lapwing

This morning I went to Venus Pool Nature Reserve near Shrewsbury with the birdwatching group. 

It's a good place to see lapwings. They used to be common but are now on the Red List of endangered birds due to a sharp decline in their numbers due to loss of their traditional farmland habitat.
