Glimpses of Blackheath 6
Had to go down to the shops to get some frozen Indian food. Actually the stuff we get is pretty good - Chicken Khorma was the variety this time ... aaaaaanyway on the way back to the car I got this blip.
On our wanderings around Blackheath, last time I left you here. Okay then, turn 180 degrees and walk 25 metres. which will get you to the Great Western Highway/ Govetts Leap Rd intersection. Remember that one? We've passed through here several times before. Pay attention now. Turn east and walk another 60 metres. Swivel 90 degrees right and look across the road.
There you are. It's the Victory Theatre Cafe, one of the chief gathering places in Blackheath (we'll get to the others shortly). That Audi TT out front belongs to the owner, Terry.
I've been a photographer of one kind or another for over 40 years now and I am experiencing some things for the very first time. Up until very recently night time shots were always cumbersome tripod and remote shutter release soap operas. This new D3100 is the first camera (in my own experience at least) which enables me to wander around at night going "click" at anything which takes my idle fancy. People who have only ever known such capability are thoroughly spoiled if you ask me.
